WEaRE are ‘foundation strategists’ and implementation coordinators, identifying needs, gaps and necessary stakeholders, and the necessary components for an holistic, sustainable, integrated collaborative approach from A to Z, making contributory interventions to aid long term development. During the previous six years within Nepal and 20years within UN and Humanitarian strategy development and novel science implementation, we recognize the importance of Planning, developing strong foundations and creating the necessary core implementation methodology components, benefitting multiple sector initiatives, offering Donor Partners deliverable safeguards.

WEaRE identifies that development of a Safety Culture within Nepal and its Schools is Paramount. Each School establishing in-house designated existing staff member as a Disaster Reduction Health and Safety Manager DRHS, trained externally to understand and implement their combined Disaster Reduction and Health and Safety Management roles and responsibilities, is the first step towards developing a New Safety Culture, especially within the High Risk Education Sector Environment of Nepal, embracing such management tasks, awareness, and life-skills mitigation for Fire, Medical, Earthquake, Flood, with relevant Drills, Road Safety, WASH, Waste Management, ‘Respect Water’ & Environment and General Safety Enhancement in all Education facilities, with Community outreach.

WEaRE Management has over 30 yrs experience in Risk and Crisis Management and Education, including being part of the initiating teams for the UN Comprehensive School Safety GADRRRES initiative 19yrs ago, plus the UN Resilient Cities program, and UNESCO/INRULED, Education for Rural development and sustainability. Plus 17 years in MHEWS strategy development, and 14years in Water Resource Management strategy and implementation. The Board has a wide set of experiences with over 30years in Government appointed Education, International Environmental Science and operational experience in PR Media. 

WEaRE has dedicated staff experienced in Company Admin, Schools Liaison, Teaching and DRR research and platform development. WEaRE operate slightly differently to some NGOs. WEaRE is not a Bank, nor does it ‘bring’ money to ‘spend and go’. WEaRE is a Nepali registered NPO. The Team are all Nepali, except program director who operates pro-bono. 

WEaRE, in collaboration with local partners, identify need and gaps, plan strategy, estimate material requirements, plan implementation, and finally identify necessary budgets, at which stage we approach with partners to sponsors, donors and relevant stakeholders for required finance and facilitation with phased release as programs progress. Demonstrating accountability and transparency. Zero funds go to non-Nepali salaries nor to abroad bank accounts.
